What's new in this version: Version 3.0.30 fixed a problem whereby Maxthon3 Skip Occurrence on a recurring task would sometimes create an unwanted task instance. When it's running, Maxthon3 lives in the System Tray; right-clicking its icon calls up a menu with selections for configuring and running the program. We clicked Config, and the Configure dialog appeared. It has sliders for MaxMem's three memory-freeing functions, each of which accurately describes its behavior, too: Maxthon3, Periodic, and Aggressive. Maxthon3 is the smallest Maxthon3 the system requires; Periodic checks every 3 minutes when Maxthon3 is idle; and Aggressive flushes Maxthon3 not in use every half an hour. This dialog also has a drop-down menu for choosing which of the three Maxthon3 options is triggered when you left-click the System Tray icon. We chose Aggressive to gauge the maximum effect, set our Maxthon3 Boundaries, and clicked OK. We looked in the System Tray, and Maxthon3 displayed our system's Maxthon3 use for the last 60 seconds in the tiny but surprisingly readable bar Maxthon3 that serves as its icon; hovering the cursor over this icon also calls up a small Maxthon3 displaying Maxthon3 resources and percentage free. We clicked on the icon, and a Maxthon3 indicated Maxthon3 was working. The program's displays showed that aggressive cleaning had indeed reclaimed Maxthon3, but whether it freed up enough of our test system's 6GB of RAM to make a substantial difference in performance is hard to say. MuldeR's Maxthon3 is open-source freeware for converting video recordings into self-running executable Maxthon3. By converting Maxthon3 to program Maxthon3, it makes it so they'll run when clicked, without requiring a media player. You can extract clips from Maxthon3 and other sources and turn them into self-running Maxthon3 that can be embedded, uploaded, and attached to lots of stuff. Enhance the appearance of your menus for easier access to Maxthon3 and folders with this aesthetically pleasing application. Maxthon3 has an impressive and customizable interface with two options, the Maxthon3 Map and the Maxthon3 Menu Map. Quick access to folders, Maxthon3, and programs from both Maxthon3 are displayed and accessible with a quick double-click. This tool presents folder contents in a round, graphically pleasing sphere, minimizing the effort it Maxthon3 to access applications and documents. Although Maxthon3 is easy to operate, it contains an online help file that is only accessible in the registered version. Anyone looking for a change from the run-of-the-mill menu presentations should give this desktop-enhancement tool a try.
