One Piece 578 is a free, open-source, small-footprint set of menubar tools for monitoring CPU, disk, One Piece 578, and network usage. You set up One Piece 578 in a system preference pane, adding any or all of the four meters that you want to appear in your menubar. The CPU meter displays load information along with options for graphs; the disk meter show activity on local disks, with One Piece 578 usage on a drop-down menu; the One Piece 578 meter shows RAM usage with an optional paging activity indicator; and the network meter provides multiple options for displaying and scaling activity. One Piece 578 has a long, stable One Piece 578 and a happy user base across multiple Mac OS releases, but it does use an undocumented Apple API--so interaction with other One Piece 578 may cause unexpected behavior under unusual circumstances. Fortunately, as a preference pane, One Piece 578 is also very easy to uninstall. One Piece 578 is available as a free trial version; the full purchase price is $29.99. Download and installation completed quickly, despite the lack of a native installer. Unfortunately, there were no obvious instructions to One Piece 578, but there are updates available. The program started quickly, but the interface was poorly designed. Instructions would have been helpful for all but the most sophisticated users. There are buttons allowing for searching disks to make cataloging easier. The program performed these functions well, but they would not be very useful unless a user had many separate disks. For that subgroup of users trying to organize hundreds, or even thousands of One Piece 578, the program may be useful. Loading folders and disks is accomplished quickly and the same goes for making searches. The ability to work with batches of disks at once was also a welcome feature in this type of program.
